So i am back from the vets without my filly that had the OCD op.
The x-rays looked good and didn't see a problem on them.
However, he is going to have another look inside tomorrow and if all is fine he is going to do IRap treatment.
Her hock has come up more swollen this time than it did last time which hesaid is why he wants to look inside again and be 110% sure there is nothing in there causing any bother.
Anyone had any experience of this?
Thanks in advance.

Hi. Yes my 16 year old eventer had Irap into coffin joint for arthritis. He was around 5/10ths lame before. He is now 100% sound but you do have to be patient! It took a good 6 months before he eventually came sound. Good luck.

My horse had IRAP just over 2 years ago for a problem with his coffin joint. We never really got to the bottom of the problem as he wouldn't tolerate being nerve blocked and the x-rays were clear so the vet just had to take an educated guess at the best treatment. It was only a slight lameness but complicated as he had a back problem at the same time which may have been contributing to the lameness.
Touch wood he has been sound now for 2 years, although I have to be careful on hard ground.
I'm obviously very pleased with the results so fingers crossed it works for you too.
