Anyone had lessons with Tony Whipps?

Have just seen a course advertised fairly local to me and was thinking it might be good for me and my new boy (it's a 3 day course with 2 lessons each day videoed so you can watch in the evening) but don't know anyone who has had lessons with Tony.

Your experiences?
 
This is the summer camp at Pachesham right? I really like Tony whips and enjoy his lessons a lot. Am tempted to give this clinic thing a go, but being only 18 I feel I might be a bit out of place on my pony club type cobby mare :S

But yes, highly recommend Tony, he's a fab rider and will either shout or be confidence giving whatever you need

Yep, that's the one.

I have a feeling Tony taught some higher level PC stuff at my old PC but I wasn't very confident when I was younger so wasn't doing that level of stuff so never actually had a lesson with him and don't know anyone who had recently.

It says suitable for everyone (I hope so as me and my boy are an odd combination!!). You should give it a go - what dates are you thinking of?
 
I've just asked the OH if I can go (we are supposed to be going away together at some point but I keep booking time off for horse things!!) and have put thinking cap on as to what I could sell to raise the money to go.
 
I've had a few lessons with him as a riding club ran some clinics with him at the yard i was at.
I enjoyed them and wanted to have some one to one lessons with him (never happened due to yard move and life getting in the way). He likes to work on the basics and getting that right but will still push you and make sure you get it right. I was in a group of 3 and normally knackered after! :o
He has a bit of a dry sense of hummor and can be a bit tounge in cheek but is a nice guy and encougaging. :)

I'd wholeheartedly recommend him, I think he's lovely. And he rides beautifully (although I don't know whether he'll ride on the Pachesham camp). He's also not in the least bit bothered about how big/flashy/whatever your horse/pony is or anything like that as long as he can see that you are trying to do what he's telling you.
