Would anyone who has Shires turnout be willing to do me a favor. Would you be able to measure the drop length (from imaginary midseam to bottom edge of rug on the flanks)

I'm searching for a blanket with long drop to wrap underneath horse's belly. Could you also list the rug's size with it. (Sorry I know I sound very demanding

Else does anyone know how I can get in touch with the Shires manufacturer to ask this question.

Thanks SO much for any help. L.

OH of course, I forget to mention which one. I'm interested in the Stormbreaker Combo or Standard.
From the pictures I've found so far it looks to be pretty long, which would be just what I need, coz my boy is rather broad with uhm big belly. I hate it when rugs look like mini-skirts on him

Thanks thx, for any help

I have the Stormbreakers - standard. I can measure them but not to the weekend - grounded with chest infection and lots of snow.

If it helps, I have a 6'3 on my 15.1 gypsy cob - who has a touch of TB in him so is not as wide and square shaped as some, but still is a substantial lad and a 7' on our nearly 16.3 clydesdale mare. Again she is not that wide yet (both are rising 6).

The rugs fit very well - I like them for the neck fitting and are generous on the chest and shoulders. The rugs completly cover their sides and do go under and cover about half the belly area, certainly not the mini skirt look.

Ohooh, thx asbo, that sounds confusing indeed.

Theresa, yes please would you mind measuring, there's no rush and it can certainly wait till the weekend. I won't be ordering anything this week just yet.

My boys wears a 7' rug, and he's an 18hh warmblood. Most 7' rugs go perfect lengthwise, but his belly literally sticks out.
I figured if I have the droplength then I can compare it to the weatherbeeta orican he's currently wearing.

Thanks very much.

i know shires do extra deep rugs, so that might be a better option for you?

jay is 16.3hh with big withers, hes a 6'6 in weatherbeeta, normally a 6'6 in shires but this time hes got a 6'9, my friends horse normally takes a 6'6 and the same rug i just got in 6'6 drowns him lol
