Anyone have a successful shop at Aldi this morning?

As we have a bit of a trek to our nearest Aldi store, I sent my ever so helpful mother to their local one.

It seems that they didn't have a lot of stock delivered to the one she went to, although she was the first there.... that's commitment to your daughter!

Mum managed to get me a pink gilet (I've got the yellow from last year - well worn so thought a spare was a good idea), some two-tone jodhpurs, a set of thermals, ear muffs and a beanie hat.

So thanks Mum....
 
Thanks, I'll give the non fabric conditioner washing a try. If it works I'll be saving money!

I really wanted a pink gilet but the medium was not quite big enough to wear over my usual hacking coat. But then again the rest of my high viz stuff is yellow and it is important to be matchy matchy.....

I'm a little bit worried that my medium thermals aren't going to fit now :( I haven't had a chane to try them on yet!

Sounds like everyone has been busy shoppers then!
 
I didn't buy horse riding stuff, but thermal trousers, cycling gloves and walking socks (all very warm!). I always watch the socks, the ones that fit close around the instep and aren't too short don't fall down in my wellies - hoorah! Got a brilliant high viz pink waterproof jacket a while back as well, only £19.99.
 
I got -

Two tone jodhpurs
Pink and yellow body warmers
6 pair of socks
2 polo shirts
2 pairs gloves
Ear muffs

Stock levels were very limited and when I arrived just after the store opened there was a gaggle of horsey women there already.

Jods and tee are bit flimsy IMO but the body warmers are fan although I wish I'd bought small instead or medium but there was no time to faff about trying things on or if have come home empty handed!
 
I bought two grey polo shirts, (no burgundy ones in large) a pair of navy jods and four pairs of socks. The large gilet was too small :( However, I have also been to and can recommend 'The Factory Shop' (again) and bought the Regatta fleeces with the zip necks, and they had nice fleece jackets with zip pockets all for £10 each , bargain! :)
 
Fab time

Pair of jods each for mum and I, gillet for her, snood for me and two sets of socks. Anyone see the boots? Local aldi had none.
 
Just on my way back from the north London aldi which still has lots of everything. Got jods, thermals and socks. Thought about the gilet but it looked quite warm in which case I have a jacket. Need a summer version of that really.
