I have been thinking of trying one on my eventer as I think my saddles are restricting his shoulder movement and pinching.

Does anyone have one?
What are your thoughts on it?
and what level do you ride at?

Thanks!

I have a barefoot cheyenne

I am a happy hacker

I love it! very comfy - I would imagine you would require something a little more specialised for eventing though

MY YO had some as her youngster was maturing. It did the job brillaintly for what basic work but once asking for a little more collecting, medium its not over supportive - let alon leg yeild and half pass. She has done so so well with it, but cant wait for her tree'd saddle to arrive!!

There are so many different treeless saddles! I would suggest that you contact someone who fits Heather Moffet saddles (have a look on the Enlightened Equitation site, and try those. There is no problem sitting correctly in them! They aren't cheap, but you can trial them, which is very useful.

I have a Torsion - the original treeless saddle, Wouldn't use anything else now - or any of the cheap makes!

I used to have an Ansur on my broad withered dressage horse and it worked well on him. They don't really work on horses with a high or narrow wither as the pressure over the wither is too great - so really depends on your horse's conformation.

For what it's worth I have a horse with really prominent withers and the only saddle he will tolerate is the Ansur (Total Saddle Solutions)
