Anyone have a Yorkie ?

Im thinking about rehoming a 2yr old female Yorkie rescue. Overall seems sweet and gets on with other dogs, but just wondered are they as yappy/barky/bossy as i read?

We have a male cocker who is a dream, never barks, totally passive and doing well with his gun dog training.

Dont want to rock the boat with him and eventhough yorkie is a sweetie on the surface dont want Ralph's temperament to change.

Does anyone have a yorkie and another larger dog, whats their personalities like?

We have got 2 of them and I find them fabulous little characters.

We also have a Rhodesian Ridgeback and they all get along fine. The ridgeback can get a bit bouncy with them as he thinks they should play like big dogs but soon stops if he bowls one over in play. There is never any nastiness and they will quite merrily share food.

Never really been one for small "Yappy" dogs but I have totally changed my mind about them, they are so amusing and have such massive personalities and they have fitted in since day 1 and are not yappy whatsoever!

Oh and we have 4 cats as well that they get on with but they do like to chase one particular one that winds them up!

I've had 2 yorkies. One was originally from a puppy farm and was a yappy, snappy neurotic little thing. Also needed surgery on both back legs and eventually died from a rare form of cancer at only 4 years old.

2nd one was a 'proper' terrier Super little dog, not at all yappy and got on fine with our other, larger rescue dog. They couldn't have been more different.
