Thats exactly true!! If you don't sell it as a foal you've almost certainly got it until its a 3 or 4y.o if its a sport horse.

Though I did have someone interested in him (she still is) for a substantial sum, but she's got a horse to sell first - well she knows my number and how to contact me, if she does really want him. I'm getting my hopes up!
You know what, I am so pleased I started this thread! By the time he's starting ridden work, I may be in a position to keep him - end of!! You never know, I may even be in a position to keep him and become an "owner" and send him to someone really good to produce
I couldn't sell him as a foal, as he was growing so quickly he tried to go very upright and that would (and did) put a lot of people off. He's a ok now though - as you can see
