Anyone have experience transporting horse from Ireland to Germany?

I'm looking at a few horses for sale in Ireland and asking around for some quotes. However, one of the transporters mentioned that the stables in Germany has to be registered for importing horses, but I cant find any information on that online. Has anyone imported a horse to Germany from Ireland (or another EU country) and found that to be the case? I'm not originally from the EU, but i just assumed since it would be EU to EU, the process would be pretty simple.

I'd chat to the likes of John Parker International, or Mullins, PT international etc, the ones who do this sort of trip regularly.

Thanks. I spoke with John Parker, but due to Brexit they can't do the entire trip themselves since it would be best to avoid going into the UK. I'll check out PT International.

Try Coopers or Bramhams they do lots of Irish trips
