Anyone have experience with Amtrust Insurance?

I'm in the throws of making a claim - my first. So I'll keep you posted. It should be very straight forward - as a field injury.
 
Really good, had to claim recently when pony pts, they were always really helpful when I phoned and paid out very quickly.
 
claimed - paid out fine no problems, then had to claim again same year - real issues getting them to accept claim for Kissing spines as they tried to say pre existing condition, had to argue that I had had a 5 stage vetting, nothing picked up on it - they accepted to insure her with that vetting so after 4 weeks of arguing they agreed to pay, then promptly refused to reinsure on renewal!! Would not reccomend them at all.
 
Been with them for years - had a few claims, biggest ones for surgery to re-attach the skin on my pony's leg after she walked through a gate, a tendon injury and all the associated investigation and treatment (including MRI), and most recently a colic surgery and death claim. They have always been really helpful and have always paid out on time with minimal fuss. We still have one pony with them, and next horse will probably be insured with them.
 
All 3 of mine with them,and when penny turned 16. They arranged a veteran deal for her, that was near half old one. Still with 5k vet cover though. Never had to claim but they are all v v nice to speak to when I renew.
