I'm virtually blind in my left eye. It doesn't affect my balance, but it does make it harder for me to judge distances when I'm jumping or doing dressage.

I have a degenerative problem with both my eyes. It affects my balance sometimes - I'm prone to sudden blurryness and pains in my eyes which make me dizzy.

hi
I have eyesight problems, i have a rare condition called Holmes Adie Syndrome, my left pupil doesnt react to light (hehe - when i've been in a&e for concussion etc they thought i was the walking dead!) and also i dont have reflexes in my legs etc due to it.
My main problem thou is Double Vision - i have had it since i was about 8 when i had a bad virus. Its there all of the time - i see two of everything
it sometimes freaks people out and i recall my driving instructor looking scared when i told him!
On a day to day basis - i dont even notice it as i have had it so long, every now and then i misjudge things and get confused between the 'real' thing and its 'shadow'
Yes i only have one eye after loosing my right one after being assaulted 3 years ago. It affected my depth perception at first but this is hardly affected now. other than the obvious lack of vision it doesnt seem to affect my balance at all.
My Vision is pretty bad my right eye strong and my left very weak. It doesnt affect my balance but I find it difficult walking cross country courses as if the plan is poor I cant make out the numbers on the flags at long distance so often have to walk everything twice. I am very lucky to usually walk with very good friends. I write a detailed list of places to turn, trees to look at etc and have only ever missed a fence once.
I have a condition which affects my eyesight...left eye is often full of floaters so its like looking through a blurred spiders web (best way I can describe it!)...right eye is also like that but not so bad. My left eye pupil is constantly small - so reaction to light not that great...or focusing!!!!
Dont find it really affects my balance...think thats more your ears isnt it?
It does affect seeing the whole picture of what is in front of me tho!! I still could jump fine tho and actually told I see a stride very well which was rather ironic!!!
If they get bad then I cannot go out as eye swells up, cannot stand any light and have to stay in and take even more medication...no chance to be able ride anyway!!!

will it get worse? do you wear glasses

Yes wear glasses at the mo. The condition effects everyone differently so my doctors can't tell me how bad it will get. So far it has slowed down in the last few years so hopefully won't get too bad.
