Anyone have fields that look like this??

i sent 2 of my 3 down the road to live out on a 10acre field for the winter, so the fields dont look too bad.
still bv wet and mud by the gates. there is no grass, but we dont have much land so i feed them hay in their shelters all year round anyway.
the 10acres field hasnt got mud but its very very wet. like a bog meadow! do worry about mud fever and abcesses.......

In response to posts about why I still turn my horses out, my two are on grass livery so are out 24/7 anyway. I recently had to change fields at my livery yard and as the paddock's low lying and we've had so much rain it's now got a huge puddle across the middle of it and is pretty churned up. I know that many of the yards in the area are not turning out but I specifically moved to that yard as my old boy is arthritic and the vet recommended 24/7 t/o (which in fact has been amazing for him - he's a changed boy!) and I also have a youngster who has never been shut in before. I personally feel that as our school's flooded and we don't have a horse-walker (plus I'm a busy working-mum) that my boys are better out rain or shine.

Our fields are horrible too
