Pre the lady I bought my horse from (no issues there), My mare was SUPER HEADSHY, very suspicious and gets scared by raise voices.

One thing that always puzzles me, if she has seen me do things like mending fencing with tools like hammers, when I go to touch her she jumps back like she has electric shock and gets wide eye and scared looking and snorting.

Just now I was polishing a table, and then went over to her stable, opened the door went in to scratch her back and she jumped back like electric shock wide eyed and scares, like what ever I was doing I am bringing it to her stable. I would love 5 minutes with who ever did this too her.

Some horses are just that way. My mare is like that and she’s never had anything happen to her, barely even a raised voice. She’s just hot in the brain. Her brother is the opposite and is totally chill about everything.

It doesnt mean anyone 'did it to her'..... my mare was perfectly fine until one day she bashed her head on the hay rack in the stable. No ones fault, she cut her forehead and ever since then she has jumped back and looked terrified whenever something- a hand, brush or the wall -comes near her head.

My sec D and section A are both like that. I’ve had them both since they were babies, so no one has done anything to them, it’s just the way they are.

No someone has, one of my livery boyfriends petrifies her and I mean petrifies. She spins round the stable, wide birth when he opens the gate snorts at him its the look, track suit and an accent. Big dent in her head, so head shy when I got her you could not raise a hand up to stroke her let alone head collar on. If I say stop pawing the ground from across the yard, and walk towards her she shoots back into the corner as if waiting for a belting. Eyes wide and terrified I would put a £ 1000 bet on she has that is how sure I am
