My long-suffering chaps have finally given up the ghost and I'm wondering whether to get a pair of boots altogether. I have very long legs and fat calfs which change shape quite often (depending on season and what other sports I'm doing ) - these boots look good as they seem to cover quite a wide range of calf widths.

Anyone any experience - are they good quality? If I'm spending this amount on boots I want to know they'll last. ;)

How's the sizing? I'm normally between an 8 and a 9 (clown feet :D) so do they come up small or big?

I bought some Tuffa Norfolks about 3 years ago. I absolutely love them! I have quite wide calves (16 ins) so I originally ordered the wide calf boots but they were too wide. So I swapped them for the standard calf.

I have worn them at least a couple of times every week and they are still looking good. They clean up very well and don't seem to be wearing out at all. (Although being waxy leather, they don't 'shine up' for shows.) The only thing is that they are not waterproof. They are OK in a shower but not for striding through deep puddles!

Sizing-wise, I am a 6 and I have them in a 6. I would say they are true to size. I wear thin or medium weight socks with them. If you wanted to wear thick socks, perhaps go up a size.

I have them and love them...they come up a bit big. I have dinky feet (size 3) but normal sized calves and love that I can adjust them. Thay are a smidge big on my foot but it doesn't bother me. Mine are over a year old now and still look lovely despite the daily abuse and complete lack of caring for them!
