Im having a quick look round for online quotes after a shock renewal from NFU.
Done KBIS, sounds great and by far the cheapest of the biggies but to get somewhere near what I was paying I have to more than half his value.

So tried Horse insurance.co.uk and got a shock, ok only £3k vets fees and quite a basic policy but its half the amount as in £18 a month!!!!

Should I give a wide birth? Any good or bad experiences?

i can highly recommend AIMS part of SEIB. excellent customer service, very prompt payment of bills and a great value premium :) you wont find them on the internet but they do advertise in the back of H&H :)
 
I use horse insurance... Who are secretly E&L and I've had no problems with them. They have just settled a huge bill with my vet for my ponies xrays etc when she had laminitis. I speak as I find and theyve been great with me :-)
 
My riding insurance is with E&L, have people experienced problems? I am hoping I never have to claim but better to be safe than sorry.
 
I can only speak as I find and being part of e and l certainly wouldn't put me off. I have had two big claims with them over the last few years and they paid out with no problems at all and have always been easy and polite to deal with. In fact I just heard yesterday that my latest claim, over £800, has been passed for payment.
Have no links with them other than as a satisfied customer by the way, so not sure why they always seem to get criticised on forums?
