Anyone heard of this, ring any bells, alternative to steel shoes?

Several years ago came across this at the equine event.

Soft rubber stuff that comes on a roll/coil. Farrier cuts to length then glues to foot in place of a shoe, was ideal for horses doing no work following soreness, lameness, repeated loss of shoes, any idea of the name/company that makes it?

clever. but sorry never heard of it. id be interested for a retired horse at my yard. he has to walk over gravel car park to get to stable as his field is down the road from the yard poor thing

Plastics tags are then welded at intervals to the outer rim of the base in an upwardly and radially inward fashion. Blimey head spinning after looking at that but thanks. No, this stuff came in like a coil enough to do about four hooves, was reasonably priced (about £40 a roll) and was made by a firm in Ireland

Can't help you with the name of the product or company but I do also remember seeing the product at the equine event too so you didn't dream it!!!

Had a laminitic horse shod with this when we couldn't nail shoes on. Quite impressive. Your farrier should know all about it

I saw them advertised in a local horse mag... arrg.... it is buggin me now. I will have to have a look when i get home
