Martin Kinlet saddles??
English leather apparently but never heard of them!
I've found a close contact I like but can't seem to find any info on them re. build quality, fit, comfort ect

Any one that can help??

Thanks! :)

I havent seen a MK saddle for years but I *think* the ones we had on the yard(15+ years ago) had trees that were made of something like fibre glass and the trees occasionally broke for no apparent reason. I could be wrong but Im fairly sure they were MK saddles. Were comfy though!

Thanks!
You may be right with the age, possibly also why I can't find anything out about them, the saddle does look older although in very good condition.

Pleased to hear they are comfy, if it's a good price I might risk it! :)

Martin Kinlet Created luxury Hand Made Saddle around 30yrs ago
I believe they were dissolved as they could not compete with the up and coming mass produced Saddles from makers of the time such as Stubben.
It is possible that kieffer took over the company and craftsmen You may be able to get more information via this route.
Kinlet saddles were know for their deep Doe skin seat, high grade leather flaps and Doe or kidskin under panels.
They were designed to be a close contact saddle. Fitted without the use of padding or numnahs in the aim to create the best communication between rider and horse.
Remember this was 30 plus years ago the time of Craftsmen not off the shelf.
If you have one of these saddle in good condition, Its a sound investment in my opinion.

i used to work for mk in the 80s they were based in cirencester and owned by an ex raf man named peter quinn and used to make fine quality saddles by hand, not with fibreglass trees a stated on here
i would certainly buy one, as the build and leather quality seems to have vanished in all but a few saddlers
mk saddles used english leather and were hand built by craftsmen
