Having a big celebration tonight - i have FINALLY exchanged on my new little slice of equestrian heaven in near Aylesbury !! :D :D Has a few false starts and a narrow escape but its all come together in the end - its taken almost a year end to end :D

Would love to meet new people/ make new friends - also i need to find out hay and bedding supplies and prices - how much is a bale of hay in this area? Good places to go for cheap deals? Im close to Quainton Stud and Addington - anything other places i should know about?

Moving This time next week - so excited :D

Wow that sounds lovely!
Sounds like you picked a good spot. I'm not far away. I've only been back in horses for a year or so, but if I can help I will.

There is Country Equestrian at Poundon (about 20 mins from you by the sound of it) for feed, tack etc. Sorry, I have no idea about hay/straw prices at feed merchants as I buy mine in huge bales direct from my YO. There are probably places nearer to you but that is what springs to mind.

Two Times Tack at Long Crendon (tack shop which does a lot of end of line stuff) does some cracking deals..

What type of stuff are you looking to do? Addington has lots of stuff on from unaff dressage and clear round jumping through to the full-on major stuff. Quainton has similar I think.

There are some riding clubs around - Bicester covers quite a wide area, so does Apsley Guise and I am sure there are others.

There are some good sponsored rides in the area too... you'll be nearby for the RAF Halton one. I haven't the nerve to do the plane there but it looks amazing!

PM me if you need any more info.

Ive been looking to move to this area in the future. Mainly for work (well when its built!)

Is it good for horses then? Expensive? (In general?!)

Can totally endorse the recommendation for Two Times Tack, not only great deals but also they support some amazing local charities

I'm in Oxford so near-ish!

Not sure about hay/bedding but Cox and robinson in buckingham for feed?

Very horsey area and lots of really good equestrian centres/ riders etc. I suggest joining the many horsey groups for the area :)
