A long shot I know, but we're a couple of people short for fence judging at a Hunter Trial in Herts on Saturday...FinnMcCoul and I are going, but we need a couple of other helpers.

It's at Great Westwood near Kings Langley - we can offer lifts from Essex though

If anyone can help, we would be most grateful!! Was a fun day last year, and there will be plenty of refreshments available

Are you and Finn going to Great Westwood?

Damn I was supposed to be competing there this weekend for Royal Wood but my boy is still lame

That would make me popular with the powers that be at Royal Wood - being a helper for Foresters.

I don't know what I am doing now, I am still getting threatened with having to ride someone else's horse to fill a gap

Good point, didn't think about that

Well if you do make it along for any reason, will hopefully see you there and put a face to a name

No I don't - but I do have it on a word doc if you want me to email it to you?

It's the area RC qualifiers though, so I don't think there's any entries on the day or anything though.....

I'm already fence judging for Cambs and district... so I will be there. You will have to point yourself out...or we could wear a yellow flower so we can recognise each other!!!!

Looking forward to it, just hope its not going to rain.

evenag114 - if its cold will probably resemble michelin (spell?)man

Cool! Well I will be in a jade/green/blue Freelander (her name's Frieda)........will not be getting out of the car if it's raining as much as is forecast!

You probably won't want my help after hearing this question..but what exactly do you have to do? (I'm not into competing, can you tell?)...

I keep my horse about 200 yards from GW XC course.

I'd never fence judged before doing this one last year, so don't worry about it!

We'll be stationed at a jump (in the car!) and just have to mark down whether each rider goes clear, if they have run outs, if they refuse etc. Then if a rider or horse falls, we put a call to hold the course etc......
It's good fun, honest

And I'll supply lots of teas, coffees and snacks!!

We'll be there all day, but any help anyone can offer during the day will be much appreciated
