anyone in melton mowbray leicstershire?

hi we have just had an offer accepted on a house with land up there we currentley live in gloucestershire i just want to know what the eventing is like up there how easy is it to get to events? and is there alot going on up in this area?

Not far from MM. There are lots of events within easy distance as you will be close to Lincolnshire/Nottinghamshire/Staffs and Derbyshire. MM has it's own event and your next nearest will be Prestwold Hall.
Being close to M1 and A1 does have it's advantages

I live in leicestershire, about half an hour away from MM. Also live in gloucester for uni. I would say that leicestershire is better from access to horsey events as it smack bang in the middle!!

I agree..... you can get to a wide variety of events as MM is so central to major roads.....

I live in Leicestershire, used to work in MM near Old Dalby which is where Vale View Equestrian is.

Eventing wise it's really good because your so central. If your not bothered about travelling for about an hour to 1 1/2 hours your spoilt for choice!

after all that we have just been informed the women hadn't even applied for the planning permission for the stables and school( she had told us it was going through) so we won't be buying now as that was y we wanted it
