Anyone in Surrey (ish) want to do a science experiement?

wow, can't wait to learn the results of your science experiment! I'm intrigued! :)

.... I wouldn't really have said any of my guys have behavioural issues, though there is one in particular that can be short striding so I am often battling to try to convince him to open up his stride a bit, though I think that's probably physical (he does have sidebone in his front feet), so not sure if that counts as something that would be relevant to your experiment or not??

If you want to send me more details i may have a perfect horse for you , I have a 14.2 coloured show cob i backed her and she has been 100% qualified RIHS at her 2nd show won or placed every time out is a forward going ride , she then had nearly 3 months off to mature came back into work and is a raving lunatic on the go all the time very tense and rushes wants to pace or canter all the time . based in surrey just off j 11 m25 !

I am SO ashamed I dropped the ball on the the Boss/HOYS joke!

Again, thanks so much to everyone who has inquired and I really hope I've managed to get the appropriate replies to the right people. I'm happy to explain to anyone who is interested but beware, it's lots of blather. (Which shouldn't surprise anyone who "knows" me from here!)

And thank-you so much to the lovely people who vouched for me not being a crazy middle-aged truck driver stalker! :)

Thanks again to everyone for their generosity. I hope participation is at least entertaining/interesting!

I *think* I've replied to everyone who inquired but if there is anyone interested who messaged or emailed and didn't receive a reply, please, please give me a poke. :)

Oh, and I just wanted to assure anyone who might be concerned, I will NEVER disclose any identifying details about anyone's horse/yard/self. If I do report back publicly it will only be in gross generalities or with people's express permission! Just thought that was worth saying!

Just an update, as a few people have asked . . .

Thus far, results are promising, although I'm still not sure promising what, exactly. ;) And I've met some super horses and people and got to talk a lot of shop, which is a great bonus. There are a few people I will return to (perhaps with a few more added on) but if there's anyone else interested, I'd be happy to have any more takers. I don't think anyone has had a completely negative experience yet (if you are out there and you have, tell me! - it's all useful information) so I'd say we're ranging from dissatisfied but not alarmed, to neutral to positive. . . .

Tbh, I don't think I'll ever put details out here on the internet, as it's just too hard to explain. But I'm happy to keep giving it a shot privately/in person to anyone interested.

If you want to do a day at mine then I am sure some of the SW girls would come up and give you a plethora of horses to work with, if not I can find loads for you here anyway....not toooo far from you and I think Ted and I would be wonderful guinea pigs for anything as since we slammed into the ground last year neither of us have been right :(

Could run to covering expenses too I am sure!

I'd be quite happy to organise a session in Newmarket if you want - I'm sure you'd have a fair few takers in the racing world if you wanted to get involved with that and you can stay at mine, that goes without saying, if you're in the neighbourhood ;) Let me know, I can sort out stables and school if people want to travel.

Me me me if your doing the one in newmarket when I'm not at uni :D or if you fancy a trip to essex if its not to far in term time I'm all in, the M11 isnt far from me but I'm a numpty and dont know what junctions I'm near :o.

Sorry to resurrect this thread but my phone/portable office/lifeline is most likely either in a field in Leicestershire or in someone else's pocket. So if anyone needs to get in touch with me in the next couple of days, here or email please, until I have a new phone. Also, if anyone I've only been in touch with by phone/text has been trying to get hold of me, that's why I've not been answering . . .

Me again . . . although I'm not asking for any thing this time. :)

Just as an "end of year" I'd like to thank everyone who took part this year - I really appreciate the interest and hospitality and it's been very useful. I won't "publish" anything (not that I would!;)), if only because I can't see anyway to do that without talking in specifics and I never like making information on people's horses public.

To anyone I didn't get to, the deal is still on, let's just get the Silly Season out of the way.

For everyone who gets a bit grumpy about the forum now and then, I'd just like to say the people I've met (and their horses) have been universally lovely, interesting and informed. It's always a neat experience to meet the people behind the typing.

Thanks again. :)

Aw it was nice to meet you too! Jae is doing really well at the moment, he's feeling great :). I watched him on the lunge on wednesday and he looked so loose and free :).

Just to reiterate if anyone is looking for pointers/help you could do an awful lot worse than reply to this thread:) One of the best things we have done for our youngster.

Looking forward to spring when hopefully things will really move forward:)
