I have posted in the North East section but I'm urgently looking for livery. It must have a school and ideally options of full or part livery and schooling. Any suggestions and thoughts on Alnwick Ford much appreciated. Would like hacking too ideally.

Alnwick Ford has excellent facilities the hacking is pretty poor though and you can only be on schooling or competition livery I think.
 
I called and they said they would do full only but its very expensive. Any thoughts on the other three? Townfoot I was a little put off by the riding school to be honest. Don't know much about Shipley or Hope Farm?
 
Used to be at Shipley- it's very nice, hacking decent, good indoor and massive outdoor (or was when I was there) and Emma who I think still runs it is very knowledgeable and very nice.

Love Alnwick Ford too. Facilities amazing.
 
Thank you Shadow do you know anyone who has been at Alnwick ford? Really struggling to get hold of Shipley do you know what the prices were? Might have to drive up.
 
I'm at Shipley. For Basic Livery (which is everything but riding, grooming and tack cleaning) including feed and bedding 7 days a week including bank holidays it's £325 pcm and for full which is everything including exercise is £585 pcm. Facilities are excellent.

I know of someone who had her horse at Alnwick Ford. He was looked after very well but she went away for 4 months and for the last 2 heard nothing from them, which would put me off.

Townfoot's lessons finish at 7, so not too bad if you want to nip home and get some tea first.

Hope Farm has not outdoor but a big indoor and runs clinics. Is roughly £450 a month for Shipley's equivalent of basic livery.

Maybe too far but are Felton fences or Todburn equestrian any good? or I've seen an advert on only fools and horses (Facebook group) for a yard north of Alnwick but it didn't say a name, might be worth searching.
 
Bit of early morning sleuthing :) This is the advert from the livery that was on "Only fools and horses" mentioned by Vodkagirly is below (was posted on Dec 17th)-

Due to livery going out on loan we have 1 standard size box available for DIY, Part or Full livery on our small family run yard just North of Alnwick. Great for happy hackers, hunters, retired or those wanting a quiet life (although lots of opportunity for more competitive riders too within boxing distance as we're 5 mins from A1). We are based in the heart of Percy Hunt country and there is access within hacking distance to indoor/outdoor schools plus beaches at Beadnell, Low Newton and Embleton. 20 acres of 365 grazing. References available from past and present owners. PM me or comment for more details.
 
I know this is strictly not allowed but the above would be a great place to go .
Nice outdoor nice old stone stables very knowledgeable .good location for OP.
