But they're all horsey and most people would understand enough to watch the 4* dressage without some inane commentary. Thursday's dressage is either for die hard fans, or shoppers - most of the "general public" as it were will be there on the saturday.

Back at work now so can't hear the commentary but the bits I got over lunchtime were priceless!

I liked the bit about the Powers horse -
Carl: 'rather green still at this level, how old is it?'
Pammy: '11'
Carl: .....silence..... 'Ahhh....well obviously PURE dressage horses are established at this level by 7'
Pammy: 'Carl, it's all PURE dressage'

I think they have picked the 2 experts and HH as the sort of 'everyman's voice' because they are keenly aware that Badders is now a brand and so they have to appeal to all eschelons of spectator.

HH reminds me of Claire Balding a bit, but that's not saying much with her comments after the National!!!!
