My friend keeps llamas, alpacas and horses. A lot of horses are scared of llamas and alpacas, but the majority accept them after a while.

Our llama, Simon (don't ask!!), goes nuts when mares are about but ignores geldings.

we used to have 2 alpacas that got on fine with the horses at mossburn (but then they had a secret baby. that's a good point actually, their whole baby situation is very complicated we learnt so don't have babies!)
