I put a deposit down on a gorgeous colt two months ago. Saw him and he is a right little stunner

Has just come in to be weaned and the breeders have told me he has got some grass warts on his muzzle They had their vet out and he said they should just drop off on their own and not to worry, called my vet and he pretty much said the same over the phone.

So just wanted to check if anyone had any dealings with them? How long they last any problems after they have gone etc?

Im due to pick him up next weekend.

What your vets have said! My boy had 3 appear virtually overnight... they lasted about 3 months and then disapared as quickly as they appeared. Some youngsters have their muzzles covered in them and then all of a sudden they go. Nothing to worry about.

They are very very common in young horses because their immune systems aren't fully mature. You may find that the warts increase in numbers to a dramatic level but don't worry, as the horse's immune system matures, they will vanish practically overnight x

If they are like tiny caulliflowers then yes they are as others have said. One of my foals had them and they do just disappear, my vet confirmed they were as Box_of_frogs says due to an immature immune system.

My 2 year old Fell pony had quite a few of these about 4 months ago but last week they all dissapeared! They just dropped off whilst he was in the field. I wouldnot worry about these at all. My 7 yr old had them as a colt and they dissapeared too.
