I am looking at changing my horses bedding to shavings, but im on a budget. If anyone knows of some reasonably priced shavings suppliers in the Stockport, Cheshire area, id be really grateful for the details/numbers.

Brian Lears he is based near Bolton but i know he delivers all over the country, I think his min delivery order is 3 pallets and there are 28 on a pallet but they are reasonably priced and he does different grades. I use to use his white shavings that he calls "sawdust" but they are not there are proper shavings but smaller flakes than his pure white ones and they are only £3.75 per bale and i use to use 2 per week(the whole yard i was on used them and all liked them) I think his white ones are £5.50 but i am not sure.
You can also collect if you fancy trying them before you buy a big load, his place is near the Reebok Stadium just off the M61 J4 so not that far.

Or there is Bodens which is just off the east lancs road in Astley (just down from Worsley) but they are a little more expensive and you would have to google there number.
