Anyone know cost of MRI Front feet Scans?

I had a quote form one Horsepital nearest to me this morning for scanning both front foot (MRI) and it came in at £1195 + vat - is that the average? Sadly pone not insured

Yes, that sounds about right. We paid just over £1000 2 years ago at Donnington Grove in Newbury.

Just over £1,100 last summer at Rossdales but that included a lot of drugs (big horse) and just over £100-worth of remedial shoes. Good luck x

Yup that's about right I'm afraid, think I was about £1400 incl stabling etc

Just recently had this done at Liphook - £970 incl VAT. Was just there for the day.

Mine was done before they bought their MRI machine and cost about £1100 at Bell Equine some years back but it was more as they had to resedate to redo it as it moved as the last minute so I paid 2 sedation costs, they didn't do an all in price.

ETA Just did a quick search on the RVC Equine fb page and a post from Jan says £950

Scan alone cost me (or rather NFU) £1200 about six months ago. Think there was sedation costs on top of that.

I think that was only for clients registered with the Equine practice there, but they do that offer once a year.

It was free for clients half price for everyone else

Yes it was the free day I was thinking of. Last year lots of non clients inquired only to be told they weren't eligible so that's probably why they introduced the half price option this year.
