Am so sick of weeds coming though hardcore and muddy squelch in winter am thinking of tarmacing drive but no idea of price. Drive and car park area prob 300 sq mtrs.

Don't fall down when I tell you this.... !
We just had our drive done - it had to have a sweeper along it twice, and then tar put down, granite gravel on top (cheaper than proper tarmac and much prettier!), then rolled in... they did 2800msq, and it came to £14,175

Its not cheap and you do need to shop around a bit. Also in certain areas you now need planning permission to lay any hardstanding such as concrete/ tarmac - something that came in to place to ease the effect of flooding (or something like that !)

My parents had the yard's driveway hill done, which is all of 100m (less thinking about it I'm just naff at guessing distances!) a few years back and it came to over £6,000!! I quickly learnt that tarmac is very very expensive.
