Anyone know Manor Farm, Claygate?

I'm in need of a yard within driving distance of SW London, and have seen this one has great facilities. Does anyone know it? It's Woodstock Lane South I believe. Anyone know what the hacking's like? Thanks.

The hacking's rubbish! You can get to better hacking but its a bit of a trek to get to it. I used to be stabled just down the road from Manor Farm but got fed up with it as I do like my hacking so moved. There's a fair bit of road work but you can hack to Esher/Oxshott Common. The yard's nice though and has an indoor and outdoor and the owners are lovely. A friend of mine is stabled there and loves it and I think Lucemoose on here keeps her horse there. Are you looking for DIY or Part Livery, as probably similar yards with better hacking just slightly further out.

IMO I don't think the hacking is all that bad; I am just down the road. If your main focus is hacking then you will need to go farther out. London yards are highly problematic. Near Wimbledon Common/Richmond Park (great hacking) the yards are very expensive. Around Claygate-Hook yards cheaper, but hacking not great. I do other stuff with my horse,so hacking is not as important. Esher Common very good. Manor Farm has very good indoor school. Go along and see what you think!

Thanks for the reply. Am looking for part/full livery, but really don't want to go much further out than Esher - it's a 30 minute drive as it is, and don't want to add to that too much.

Thanks Jaquelin. My main focus won't be hacking but I will hack at least once a week, and potential horse is quite a baby, so is going to need exposing to lots of things!

Is there anywhere else you can recommend?

I beleive this is a BHS yard so check out the BHS website.
The daughter is an eventer and she has good turnout.

Barwell estate has also some good facilities near chessington World of Adventure and close to chessington South station

Thanks Rob. I spoke with Manor Farm last night and am going to visit on Saturday.

Does anyone know how to get more information on the Barwell Court yards? I believe there are a number of them but I can't find any contact details anywhere.

Pop in to balanced Horse feed at Malden Russet, they have a notice board of all the yards in the area.
