hi

I am currently looking for a Jumping and a flatwork instructor...I keep my horse in east sussex.

Does anyone know of an instructor in this area that they can recomend..who thy know of or have had lessons from

Thanks

Have you thought of joining one of the local riding clubs as they often have jumping clinics. It is often easier to join in one of those than to find a good instructor who is prepared to come out to your yard.

My old instructor, Laura Powell, was excellent - unfortunately I moved to Esher and she won't come that far - she's Kent based but I reckon she'd do East Sussex.....

Judi Piper-Dadswell (Chalvington)
Adrian Evans (Chailey)
Penny Sangster (Herstmonceux)
Sam Penn (Golden Cross)

Would really, really recommend Judi Piper (see above) - she's near Ripe, and taught my daughter for many years. Have also heard good things about Sam Penn at Golden Cross. Also Sam Champney-Warrener who is outstandingly good, used to event, and is based near Polegate (Eastbourne).

Sharon Newman is very good. She works you hard but is good both with flatwork and over fences.

[/ QUOTE ] Sharon is excellent, but gets very busy and its difficult to book her if you want evenings or weekends.

I use Sam Champney warrener and my horse has improved more in 4 months than the other times with others. Not sure she'd work with all but I think instructors and are trial and error
