After a horriffic experience with a horse from a dealer i am now embarking on what is set to be a very long and vicious legal battle with the dealer who sold me a totally unsuitable horse sold significantly not as described.
I am also about to have 6 weeks off work and have turned the horse away as it really isn't happy being ridden. As i have not been without a horse since i was 8 and have no other way to fill my time, I am on the lookout for something to ride and compete over the holidays and possibly purchase when this legal stuff is over. I am based in West Yorkshire and have previously evented to RC area open level but more recently concentrated on BD. I would like to get back into my eventing though. If you know of anything let me know, i have applied to the thoroughbred Rehabilitation centre also, anyone got any experience of them?

Just to say sorry to hear about your horrible experience. I would post for advice on this board as there are a few people who have been succesful in this area or could at least warn you of the some of the get outs dealers can use.

Can't help on the request for an eventer type though. My yard has just put one up for sale and he is actually getting quite a lot of interest so this may be a little competitive atm - but in this instance, this boy has proven results from this season, is running still and improves each time out, hence the strong interest as has good placings! They sold a mare a couple of weeks ago who had all the basics covered and was ready to go and she was snapped up quickly too..

I know of a horse my friend was considering having on loan from a colleague of hers. Not sure what it does now but I imagine it was a working hunter / hunter type. Can't remember why the girl is loaning it but I think her and her family do alot of county showing - working hunters I think so maybe they just have too many.

My friend has decided against the idea mainly due to time commitments and also she feels she hasn't quite got over an accident she had on her previous horse.

The owner of this horse is in Pudsey so certainly W Yorks anyway. I can try find out more about the horse and whether she is wanting to loan him officially or if she just offered him to my friend as she knew her if you want me to?
