horse on loan with view to buy?

Once I get myself settled back in Hampshire (couple of weeks) I'm going to start actively looking for something that I can get out and about on.

Ty is staying with me, but due to him having the very early stages of navicular and hock spavin I think he's best of being a happy hacker (he's still sound with corrective shoeing).

Must haves:

Gelding
14.2 (if section D type) to 16HH
No TB's !!!
Don't mind Section D, ID but prefer a working hunter type
Don't want a rocking horse but also don't want a rearing pyscho!
Been out and about a bit.

Alternatively, I'll look at youngsters, providing they have a sensible head on them and are not WB/TB types.....done my time with them! I'll have the winter to get them out and about at local things.

Doesn't need to be a Burghley show stopper, but would like to do local riding club

Any ideas gratefully accepted!

Thanks

what a shame a friend of mine had two of hers for sale or loan with view to buy one was a TB really quite nice actually jumped well...and the other ID x had been there done it sort but still with soo much scope to go further....I'd love to have had him but couldnt afford 3...she sold them both to a dealer in Oxfordshire I think, sounds like they wouldve both been good for you to see....

I can't recommend horsequest enough, i placed a wanted add and the response i got was amazing!!

I was offered some seriously decent horses!(and this was just for loan) and was lucky enough to end up picking what i wanted to see.

I now have the most beautiful boy who has been to hoys the lot so maybe try that (it doesn't cost a lot either certainly saved me fuel.)

Hope that helps a little

I know of a super grey British warmblood, who is just gorgeous! He has a wart which is being biopsied at the mo but would be available for loan with view to buy later on if you were happy with the wart (is tiny, and not in a nasty place)

He is 6, 15.2hh and so much fun, would have him myself but need something with just a bit more potential, although was seriously tempted as a buy to sell on prospect before we noticed the wart
