anyone know of anyone wanting a tb stallion?

You wont get any money for him at Reading- he'll more than likely go for meat money.
You'd be best to accept he's a low value animal until he has been gelded and either advertise him properly now for £650 or geld him, put some work into him and try to get a bit more.

Reading Market is a meat and chuck out sale, I think that if you friend thinks that there might be a happy outcome for this horse she will be dissapointed. You asked a question and I think you have been answered. The only people who would bid on this horse is a dealer or the meatman.

he's tb but that doesnt mean he is only of interest to racing people though surely?

not only racing people buy at ascot, but the people that do want tbs and are more likely to know how to handle one than you average sales goer looking for a cheap horse (not offense to anyone intended)

She will be lucky if she gets £200 for him at reading!! And even then he willl proberley end up in a dealers or the meat man

John Roberts if you bother to read the post thats where he will end up IF he goes to Reading!
And its not the OP's horse, so why she is being jumped on I dont know!
Suzy, perhaps you could tell the owner, that if he goes to Reading, it will be the start of the end for him.
People are currently giving away ex racers, so I think it might be unrealistic to think she can get £1000 for him, and she certainly wont get that at such a low end sale, in fact even £200 might be over optamistic. Its the first sale since November, so there will be a lot there, which will reduce the overall prices anyway.
Ascot is a much better bet, but again, be warned, they can go for as little as 300 guineas.

Hi Guys only just seen this thread yes coloured that have both parents registered with the NTR or 1 parent ntr 1 gsb can race. also I think the particular colt might be rabicano which will throw colour called Skunk tail in the states mixed with other white modifing genes the colour will be more loudly expressed.
There are no roans in the TB in the UK the only ones exist in NZ and he was called catch a bird.
this colt should be promoted for his colour and rarity if he stands a chance of being retained as a stallion they are big in the states and will be here in a few years. we are racing our colt this year hes being broken now.and hes coloured

We would take him but certainly wouldnt pay £1000 for a 3yo tb colt! Give ya £200 so we can spend some money getting him cut and ensuring he has a decent future.
