One of my friends is interested looking at the above links dealers yard for a neddie. Any information muchly appreciated. I have googled the mobile number and it came up wih loads of links for other horses for sale, unless I am being blonde, all that confirms is that they are dealers lol! Wanted to know if they are genuine or not? xx

Hi L83,
Sorry, friend, we're not allowed to comment. If we do, posts are deleted. Good luck to your friend in finding a nice horse. BS x

Have a look at one of the posts from yesterday - it's on the 2nd page of forum. Title is "I want this horse" sorry don't know how to post a direct link to it - Think you'll find it interesting! Personally no, I wouldn't buy from them. Actually, I prob would out of pity for the horses if money was no object

Im not sure how much ur allowed to say on here but i have heard that if you go to see this horse he probably wont be there and another selection of not so nice ones will be........

These dealers were subject of a post yesterday....there was a haflinger? being ridden, walked over, stood on, neck sat on, run into jump wings etc by some idiot from their yard. There was a video of all this stupid behavior with the advert.

aaaaah! Thank you very much for all of your responses and pm's! Very muchly appreciated! I haven't seen the other posts but I will have a gander, thanks for pointing them out! My friends step mum is a vet and she does alot of showing, so she usually drags her along! I will relay of all your feedback to my friend! Thank you so much guys, you're the best! I love this forum! xx

Just found and read the other post from yesterday! I hadn't even looked at this advert from them. When I clicked on the link just now, they had taken the video off the advert (or so it would appear), perhaps they have read the other post and realised it's not what people want to see

I went on their website and the video is on there. I see what they are trying to promote, but I appreciate everyone's reactions too!

The best (funniest) part is, on their home page is a pony for sale which was from our area... I know of this pony from the local SJ circuit, to say it's quite a handful is a very polite way of describing it! I wonder if they know of this? They haven't yet put an advert up as such, pictures are of the old owner - not them! So I must admit, I am intrigued to see what they put.... it will clarify 'things' in my mind then! Keep you posted xx

x L83 from me x.
Be very careful, whenever buying a horse. There's always a reason why it's being sold, just like 2nd hand car, but with more issues.
BS x

Thanks for the concern, that's really sweet! My friend will be extra vigilant with her next buy. She last got a coloured ride and drive from the sales and he was an absolute nightmare in canter due to having a bad back. Got him sorted and sold him to someone what wanted him just for inhand showing. After that mistake she has learnt a valuable lesson, and if anything, she will be even more cautious then ever dragging her step mum about who's a vet! xx

DeeJay would at the moment be described as talented pony needs a confident/competent rider competition home preffered. NOT a novice ride can be fizzy and is forward and requires a strong rider. This pony has been with us for 2months she has recently had her teeth done. If you do know this pony you will know she is a proven jumper and has also been placed at cross country she has also hunted. She is not a happy hacker/confidence giver and will not and has not been advertised as such. She has been in her previous home 18mths and is only being sold due to the fact the rider has moved onto horses. This pony needs to be doing a job she is still young and does have some growing up to do.

That will make a very honest advert when you do come round to officially selling her! Lets hope she doesn't land in the wrong hands... which is something to ask.... have you ever had someone come try a horse and you have refused to sell them something?? xx

Yes we have refused to sell to people. People don't allways appreciate the fact that sometimes what they want is not allways what they should be buying! Buyers to have a reponsibility for what they purchase.

DeeJay we hope will be aimed for the BSJA circuit/Event route as we think that this is where she could do well and be happy! she has certainly got the scope. The picture of the pony jumping in our Avatar is now jumping BSJA he went to his first show Sunday with his new owners came 6th out of class of 70

we are over the moon he has been with them 3weeks now has money on his card and has Qualified Blue Chip
smile.gif
he came as a 13.2 driving pony! we had Raven nearly 10mths and competed him everywhere unaffilated. We had spent alot of time on this pony and did turn people down he needed a good jockey which he has now got.

Flame is a nice boy! came a little shy and can be shy until he gets to know you. Requires a competent rider wouldn't be suitable for a novice (someone out of riding school or a unconfident rider) or anyone who has been used to a kick along type. He is fab in traffic ( recently had flashing ambulances pass him and didn't react at all ). Maybe he would suit confident novice depending on what they have been riding previously? He has been hacked out by a 15yr old girl but she is a quiet rider but not overly confident in her ability. She is a decent rider when she puts her mind to it.She knows Flame and although he is responsive, it doesn't worry her and because she is confident with him so is he with her (If that makes sense)

While we are on the subject of describing horses what would you all class as a novice rider? I find this area quite difficult sometimes as i think that there are different variations of novice. We often get people come who class themselves as novice when infact they are half decent riders and on the other end of the scale get riders who say they can and do sit on any horse despite its behaviour and literally thats all they can do sit there .

Very good point!

Obviously I have been riding 'x' amount of years can fool you into thinking people 'should' have the experience there... errrrrrmmmmm no! I would probably class a novice as somebody who needs 'direction' on a horse - somebody who can't think for themselves on the simpler things! .... I think....
