OK, this is not the horse I am interested in! But this is the place that another horse I'm tempted to view is from. http://www.horsemart.co.uk/all_rounder_horse_17_yrs_15_2_hh_chestnut_gwynedd/advert/131086

Anyone know of this dealer? Good, bad, indifferent. PM me if preffered.

It's a long way to go for me, and some of the photos of their other horses for sale scare me a little, but I don't know if that's just me being silly and paranoid and over sensitive? Also, obviously I'd not buy without a full vetting.

I am trying!
2 perfect horses but failed vettings, several that sold very quickly and I missed out, even though I'm checking all the websites twice a day! Several which I viewed and were not as described. Several which sounded amazing, but upon speaking to the owners there are potential unsoundness issues or the horse has quirks, which I'd rather not have. Several who meet my competitive criteria but who don't hack alone or vice versa.
A lot that are slightly over my budget! If I could justify a 5 figure sum I'd be spoilt for choice :)

There are horses out there which appear to meet my requirements within my budget, but at the moment they all seem to be a long way away.

ive found this also, im not too keen on travelling all over the uk, so have emailed people, told them what im looking for, asked if their horse would suit and then asked for unridden and ridden pictures and a video.

i have now hopefully found a nice little cobby whos being vetted thursday BUT i have a feeling he will fail.

to be honest if there was something hundreds of miles away id proberly have a 2 stage vetting done BEFORE even thinking about going to see it.

theory is im devon.. say there was something well worth a look in yorkshire.. around 150 quid for a 2 stage vetting is actully cheaper than fuel, time possibley a night in a hotel!

what are you looking for?

Yes, it almost seems tempting to have a vetting before making a wasted journey! Having a video link sent to you is very useful too. There are new horses coming up for sale everyday though, so hopefully if I keep my wits about me, I'll spot a cracker before anyone else goes to see him! The good allrounders which are well priced are selling very fast at the moment!!

I'm looking for a 16.2-17.2, 5-9 yr old, who is a complete allrounder. I want to compete at local Riding Club level, but be able to participate in a bit of everything, and concentrate on dressage. The horse needs to be sensible to hack alone, as I rarely have anyone to ride with during the week. The horse also needs to be able to tolerate my novice OH, who intends to have lessons with my dressage instructor.
The horse needs to be sound, as I already have a semi retired young TB with KS, who was suppose to replace my ancient 33 year old. Due to me never selling my old retired horses, it's been years since I had a totally sound horse who I can jump, or take hunting if I wanted to! I dont want another full TB. I'm finally in a position to buy another, so that is why it has to be right!

I was going to go and see an ISH she had there in the summer. The photos were really awful not great photos but horse sounded nice. She was willing to part ex my mare but decided against going to see horse as I could only afford to buy the horse if I part exed my mare and I didnt want to. Cant really say what they're like.
