Whilst I understand you want her fairytale to come true, really you should just get the best pony to suit the job, regardless of colour

What if you produce a white one and madam has a strop because it isn't dappled

Having a pony should be enough of a treat without pandering to every desire!

[/ QUOTE ]Whilst I appreciate what you are saying, I am not stupid enough to take on an unsuitable pony purely because it is the 'right' colour, I also know the child would not throw a strop as it wasn't the right colour!

Thanks for the input Lou but I'm not silly and if we can't find a suitable steed she doesn't get the pony.. simple. She is by no means a spoilt brat whose desires are being pandered too.

She also does not think she is getting a pony so if we can't find anything no one is disappointed.

I think that's a bit harsh! If you went round referring to my daughter as madam and suggesting she'd throw a strop like a spoiled brat just because I'd tried to get her the sort of pony she'd like, I'd be really offended!
As it happens, my two have never really set their hearts on a particular colour, my older daughter wanted a bay, but immediately fell in love with her chestnut, my younger daughter inherited the skewbald nutter from her older sister and has fallen under his spell, having graduated from a spotted draught excluder of a pony, but if she'd desperately wanted a grey, I'd have done my best to get her one. They're not exactly rare, are they?
