i am trying to trace my horse's background and have reached a stopping point.... he was apparently imported from ireland as a 3 or 4y/o by Ronnie or Roddy Bailey... does anyone know them or heard of them?
ahh... now i'm stuck...
you see all i know is that the person who imported him sold him as a 4y/o who had hunted in ireland to a lady master of the bedale or west of yore, who couldn't really cope with him, and sold him to Pam ashworth near thirsk, who sold him onto the guy i bought him from.
and the person who imported him, was at the time involved with the york and ainsty (north i think). and i was told that he was ronnie bailey (and my horse was named after him -ronnie) but someone else has said that its roddy bailey that did the importing... so i'm very confused.
Ronnie and Roddy bailey are husband and wife, he was master and huntsman of the morpeth, they have moved from there now but i'm not sure where to. I will try and find out.
