Anyone know the stallion, Tyson?

Hi! The first foal I bred is by Tyson. A 2005 filly. A real little powerhouse. Very brave & intelligent too. Really easy to back, school & hack out. A joy to ride with a fab canter! Unfortunately didn't make the height for me so my little sister has her now :(

Tyson was owned by Kate & Stuart Carter at Hooze Farm (along with their other stallion Donnersong). But the website hooze-dressage hasn't been working for a few years. I think he stood at Hartpury College until 2007.

Carl Hester used to ride him and then Matt Frost & more recently Charlotte Dujardin, I think. He is by Negro, the same sire as Carl's Valegro. He was competing at AM / PSG, but I don't think I've heard anything about him for a year or so now.

Tyson has since been gelded, I believe due to arthritis? A friend of mine has a rising 5 year old by him, another one that didn't make a great height, she's probably about 15.3/16hh? A real chestnut mare!! Has some nice talent, but is not the easiest ride, you cannot tell her to do anything!! But she is very sweet tempered to handle.

He was bred at Hartpury, out of Tyson by a mare thats since passed away, she was TB.

He was only expected to reach 15.3 but has made 16.1. He is now 5. He hasn't been the easiest to ride (hates hacking alone) but has come along very well and getting easier! He is an angel to handle. He has won some unaff dressage and S-J and hoping to go BE this season - but will see :) He sounds similar to your mare, competitiondiva, must be something in the genes!

Such a shame he's been gelded as I'd love another one by him...
