Anyone know this stallion please?

My new(ish!) 5 year old TB mare, Missie, is by a stallion called Southern Music. I can't find anything about him on the internet (all I get is blues/jazz bands from Louisiana!) - does anyone know anything about him, have a picture/pedigree? All I know is that he was a chestnut TB, stood in Oxfordshire and ran over hurdles and on the flat. Apparently he had a lovely temperament, which he's evidently passed on to his daughter!

Unless Weatherbys is up the creek, SM is/was an old horse, born '78! By Music Boy out of Wavetree, but can't find any more than that, sorry!

crikey, that is old! that would make him 23 when he sired missie... Not impossible i suppose! I think he's dead now, so that would make sense. Whereabouts did you find that info? If it's the weatherbys stallion directory it's not coming up with anything for me?

Lovely quality stallion he was about 20 when i last saw him and that was some years ago when he was stood with Ann Bassett when she was in Wales.
Try Ann she may well have some info on him .
They are now Etheridge farm stud in Dorset.

If you enter the dam name and go through it should tell you what else she has bred too. Only thing it's not very good with the NTR ones, only so far back for those if they haven't been registered long that is.

He ended his days in a private yard near Rugby, I think it was Mary Way or Ellis (one was a married name can't remember which way round the names went) she was a local MFH iirc. Marton was the village.
