....just seen a two hour course for it near me.....sounds fun and I might give it a go....but I have no idea what it is, there is no description on the website, so anyone know what it actually involves?

I think it's gridwork too, like gymnastics for your horse as it helps them flex their back.
Or it could be vaulting (where the person does gymnastics on the horses back)

def grid work , with differing strides between the fences, to teach athleticism, to pick up and basically to sort themselves out :) Great fun or an extreme sport depending on your horse :)

Now that B has developed the stop and drop manovre, with no training I might add, gridwork is considered to be a high adrenaline extrme sport :D:eek:

yes its another name for gridwork. So think of lots of poles and small fences in a line with related distances. Great for balance and trust and developing a feel. Also good for young ponies to develop their confidence. We always did it where i first learnt to ride, and often without stirrups or even with no reins if we had a "chute" set up to funnel the pony through.

Cool thanks everyone. May give it a go. My horse won't box at the moment but I can pay £5 extra to have one of theirs....which could be interesting!! NOt sure if it would be as worth it with a strange horse, or it could give me more confidence (if its well behaved) to then try this stuff at home :S
