My horse had got a lump on each of his temples, what could this be? i've tried to google it but can't seem to find anything that looks like it, if nobody knows what it could be i'll be calling the vet in the morning, he is fine in himself and not acting funny or anything and he does not seem to be in any discomfort, i've never seen anything like this before :(

I would put pics up but i dont know how to ?!?!

Are they soft and squishy? Does he object to you pressing them? How long has he had them?

I would be tempted to say it is a gland if squishy, think they are commonely termed ''grass glands" as they often appear in the spring/summer when horses are out on nice grass. If they are the same on both sides then this is what I would suggest they are. If howver they are hard or he objects to you pressing them then I would advise getting them investigated.

They could also be a sign of a liver problem. Chances are that they are nothing of concern though if there are no other symptoms.
