A friends mare has come in from the field with lumps all over her cheeks and up into her glands. It looks a bit like she has been beaten up! I cant get pictures at the moment as it is quite dark, but ill try and get some more tomorrow.
However, another friends horse also has them on a different yard, and has for weeks. They are apparently worse when turned out and can only be on limited turnout / grazing as otherwise her face swells up. On box rest with hay they go down.
Any ideas what they might be? The horse i first mentioned has been in the same home all her life, in the same fields, and with the same horses, nothing new, and has a very sheltered life!!
Any suggestions?
