Anyone Leaving their horses to live out yet?

Been out since end of February :D have been putting haylage out for them morning and night and Rio has been having a handful of Safe and Sound for his supplements and oil.

Nope, still in at nights. We have no grass, lovely dry fields in fact in parts almost dusty as we've had no rain for two weeks but strong winds which has helped dry the land up but it's still not warm enough or the grass to grow.
This time last year they had been out since March!!!

Mine is back out 24/7 but still having hay twice a day as very limited grass :(

Normally by now we'd be in small paddock strip grazing to limit the access to spring grass!!

Last week Our hayman said there will be no real grass growth this month as the soil temp was that of January :(

Mine are out (but then practically always are). Haylage in field, rugs at night - they'll manage!

Mine are always out 24/7 :) only came in when the mud was terrible and the fields waterlogged. fully clipped, hunter clipped and rugged up about 400g in the coldest weather.
Now they are out in medium-weights. Luckily there is a lot of land per horse so still have a lot of grass, but it's not great quality (which is perfect as they are all good doers!)

Our two have been out on and off all winter, depending on the weather, but today is the first day we have started on our summer routine, which is out overnight, in during the day for 5-6 hours. And tomorrow we are going to get our electric fencing sorted out as they'll both balloon before we know it if we keep letting them have the run of the whole field!

No :(.

Stark contrast to last year where they all lived out all winter. This year they came in at night in dec and we are waiting for our grass to grow...

Mustn't grumble. Things could be worse. Hoping for end of April...

I wish... The grass simply isn't growing, even the field that's been rested longest hasn't grown anything. This time last year I had turned out a month ago, but I reckon it will be another few weeks yet before I can put them out. They came in at night in mid-September due to the wet so it's been a horribly long winter and I am fed up and want out.

Mine never come in.They are in a sectioned off paddock with barely a blade of grass to be seen, but I daren't move them onto the next section until the grass starts growing. They are having hay twice a day,a bucket feed at night and are ridden daily.

The forecast locally is rain on Thursday and temps in the high teens by the weekend,so am hopeful the grass will start to shoot up soon.
