Just wondering if Aston has had any rain today. We've hardly had any where I am in Surrey. Just wondered whether Aston's had enough rain to have any effect on the ground for this week's event.
Anyone live near Aston le Walls?

I live near.
They have been watering the ground for over a week, and we had rain last night. It will be one of the best places with regards to the ground.

They will have been watering for about 14 days by the event so going should be fab - good thing someone knows how to produce good ground!!

Had a steady amount of rain earlier.
Been heavy here (30 mins away).

Fantastic, that's great news that they've done so much work on the going. I can start getting excited now then (despite the fact that I'm probably looking at a 4am start)!
Saf, I'm near Guildford too but we only had one rain shower lasting about 5 minutes. I've been doing a rain dance too but my dancing skills obviously aren't up to much

I'm allowing 2 hours in the lorry (hope there's not too much rush-hour traffic). Am driving up by car tomorrow to walk the course (won't have time on Thurs) so will let you know how long it takes. Fingers crossed you're on after 9am then

My dressage not till nearly noon, I asked for later time as working tomorrow, (shift work) You will be nearly finished by then?
I have small cream with burgundy stripe lorry, will be the one on the horse with no brakes who is considering giving up if brakes fail again. Its my first BE this season

Hi Saf, I'll look out for you tomorrow then! It took me an hour and a half to get there by car this afternoon but two and a half hours to get back (don't you just love the M25). I'll be finished when you're just starting. Good luck!
