St Denis Catus is a tiny village near Catus. Our friends have a house between there and Gigouzac, on the D13.

Small world indeed! If you saw a bright yellow post van type vehicle driving about with a roan hound hanging out of the window that was my slightly eccentric Maman.
I know Gigouzac! My parents actually live in Catus, I've not been to the Catus house so don't know if it would be classed as a town or a village, they also have a house in St Germain du Bel Air (for sale!) about 15 miles away from Catus. Fabulous part of the world, did you go to Cahors or La Roque Gageac while you were there? That area is full of ex-pats, absolutely crawling with English and Dutch people, most of them are more French than the French.
