It's basically a live in groom position isn't it? Wonder what the salary is - not liking that it says self employed though. But otherwise you could do worse for a working-with-animals position.

I'm looking for this kind of job and saw this a couple of weeks ago. I had the thought that the accomodation was in return for the work done and that it would be down to the SE person to cover bills. I can't see how they would pay enough for 3 hours a day, even with riding 2-4 hours a week to bump it up to even cover accom and bills let alone pay on top.

When I was a SE groom the rules and guidelines as to what could be considered as SE were quite clear and being at the same site at sset times could only be PAYE. (ETA - aside from contracting and SE roles of that nature)

If I was a lot younger I might be tempted for a couple of seasons, a year at most but not now. I went back to PAYE in '21 after Covid lockdowns took all my savings and security and it really made me think about the future in a grown up way rather than 'I want to work with horses and will sacrifice anything for that'
