Anyone Met Someone Famous?

I've met a few famous riders but the best was when I turned up at my yard for a lesson and the 3 other people having a jumping lesson were Ants McKeowen, Major Richard Waygood and Lucinda Green.

Years ago - Did a course walk at Burgie with WFP (through pony club). Had training with Karen Dixon (also through PC) when I was 12.

Otherwise, not sure if it counts as non horsey but Ive also met Evil Kineval (before he died - RIP) and that woman from that comedy indian show (we were both waiting outside a Burger King in London!). Oh and the best friend of Annie Lennox used to live in my house! So Annie has been here a few times (many years ago, before my time).

Have met Richard Dun Woodys parents at a family party!!!

Princess Anne spoke to me and my friend (and stroked out ponies!) when we were about 10 when we were score collecting at Gatcombe!
 
I'm lucky (or not!) to have worked with a lot of big names and travelled to lots of big events round GB and Europe with them. Would be able to class quite a few as good friends and really they're all very normal!

Helped Tim Stockdale with a practice fence at a show (now that was scary, it was bigger than me!). My old horse got knocked out at Pennie Cornish's yard one boxing day on her horsewalker (does that count?).

Ted Edgar is always at our BSJA shows in his dead animal coat, and is always very chatty.

Apart from that, a lesson with Bill Levett, and Lucinda Green admired my horse as I rode past her at Brooksby

Geoff Billington several times and let me and my friend handle Its Otto and take pictures of him at Birchinley Manor in 2002.

Caroline Bradley in 1976 helped her carry some hay bales at Royal Cornwall Show.

David Broome (1990)

William Fox Pitt chatting to him at Longleat Horse Trials in 2004 he was really nice and friendly.

Pammy Hutton went to one of her lesson viewing days and chatted about her horses with her & Charlie at a dressage competition.

Zara Phillips chatted about the state of the ground at Badminton 2007, I actually didnt know who she was until after though, sorry Zara !!!

My trainer, Mathew Lawrence - he has won at HOYS & Olympia (twice)

Oli Townend when he was jumping ponies.

Had a lesson with Claire Lilley and I would recommend.

Yogi Bresiner had lesson in 1997

Chris & Jane Bartle when we went for a lesson at YRC

All these lessons and all the advice and I still cant ride well enough to be as good as them and never will, never mind, I am happy with my lot.

missed out Mary King, sorry !! such a nice lady and she let us see her Olympic medal at a "Night with Mary King" in 2004.
 
Met and partied with a few eventers, Tina Cook by far the nices, went round the roads and tracks with Pippa in her 4X4 with her slagging off her groom for not been able to plait!! See brook and jeanette when we stop for lessons. When i worked at a service station on the M1 had Katie Price & Peter, Spice Girls, Chelsea football team, chubby brown and Bob off emmerdale.
 
Phil Tufnal in a car park in Kingston on tuesday!! And modesty prevents me writng a list of the eventers, dressage and showjumping people i do do some journalism after all. Are we listing pop stars and actors and things cos i will have to be modest there and settle for just mentioning David Bowie, Kylie, Mel Gibson. All work related.

Years ago my daughter walked the course as a spectator at Badminton (I think) and bumped into Mark Phillips and her Jack Russell attacked his Jack Russell. Oh, and Rosie was given a rosette by Tony McCoy when she came 4th pony racing at Huntingdon a couple of years ago

Paul Tapner - had lessons with him through PC about 3 years ago now. I was fine at the lessons till I lost my confidence of jumping and managed to fall off 3 times in 1hr once

Harry Meade - another unsuccessful lesson :s. Horse was being very unhelpful and not jumping most things whilst acting like a lunatic. Also involved falling off XD
Angela & Michael Tucker - went down to their yard for work experience. Michael Tucker sounds exactly like he does on the TV lol
Pippa Funnell - got her autograph at Badminton for my copy of her biography
Matt Frost - talked to him briefly as he's based where I work
One of the Broome's - I actually can't remember which one, Matt possibly, if there is one! Also fell off 3 times then too :S

Lessons with famous rideers don't seem to go well for me lol

Oh, and random point, I've ridden Matt Butler (Leslie Law's old event horse) - now if only mine would go like that!

lmao! That coat is horrible! Ted is always telling me to stay away from various young male show jumpers, and tells my mum exactly what I did wrong in my round! lol

As well as Ted I've met

Micheal Whitaker- did my fences for me at a show once when my mum had dissappeared, very nice of him!
Tim Stockdale- had to ask for his autograph twice for my sister ages ago
Robert Smith- I had to ride some 14.2hh's at his place to show off for potential buyers a couple of weeks ago, quite scary as I'd never sat on them before
Billy Twomey - He had my old horse for a week to show to some american buyers
The Goosens (Mandy, Tina and Guy) -used to have lessons off them
Jeannette Breakwell- Had to go to her yard for a college outing ages ago and she was really snotty and horrible to one of the grooms

Kitty Boggis- she used to ride my horse before I had him so we asked her about him at a show a couple of months ago

god well every show jumper i think !!! most of them pi55ed in at hickstead or scope or olympia - especially last friday !!

I know Robert Whittaker quite well though as one of my good friends is his girlfriend (and his 2 sisters Louise and joanne) !!
