Anyone near Devon?

When we had an incredibly difficult horse I emailed Mr Hart and Emma Kurrels (?)at Company of Horses, to ask if they had any suggestions, but they didn't even bother to reply, so sorry I won't be bidding...

Dear Mr Horn,
I am sorry that you feel so aggrieved by a missing email that you would attempt to undermine a charity event in aid of a young dog that needs an operation. You don’t say when you sent the email or if you tried again to contact me either by email or phone, but it would seem you are presuming that the computer technology is infallible and that your email actually arrived. I do receive a large number of emails and while it would be unprofessional of me to diagnose behaviour problems by email or offer direct advice without seeing any equine and their owner together I do reply to all emails I receive, offering some suggestions on how owners may consider their animal’s behaviour and proceed to solve their problems. I am not in the habit of ignoring horses, donkeys or mules that are in need of help as your post suggests. If you are still having problems please email me and I would be happy to attempt to help.

Ouch, I was merely stating what happened to me not saying for one minute to people not to go and watch you..For goodness sake don't be so sensitive...

I actually sent two emails both of which appeared to be ignored, if as you say your email was playing up, fair enough, it wasn't your fault.
As it happens we solved the problem ourselves, discovering the mare concerned was terrified of fillet strings and she now wears a rug happily without one.
As you were local to us I thought perhaps you could shed some light on the problem if you had encountered it previously.
I would advise anyone thinking of attending your event to of course go along, we all need to learn from others and I am sure they will find something useful to take home from it.
ps, if you're thinking of coming along to give me a smack I should own up to not being a bloke....

I am glad your mare is fine now, I like a happy ending to a behaviour problem.

I am not at all sensistive to the opinions of others, after all everyone has plenty of them epecially when it comes to trainers. However, I did find the tone of your post Unnecessarily negative given this home visit consultantion is for charity. And it is so easy for people on forums to make such comments unchallenged especially as you have not understood what it is I am offering.

I can see by your comment on coming to give you a smack that you clearly have no idea who I am or what I do when working with equines, I am probabley the last person that would be aggressive to you (male or female) which suprises me given you were going to ask me for advice on your horse, anyway I am greatful that your comments have generated some interest in this auction.

Ben for goodness sake it was a joke!!!!!
I apologise on my knees for any offence caused of course I knew what you do, otherwise I wouldn't have contacted you in the first place!
Unfortunately many of us do joke a lot on here, and it was a tongue in cheek mention of a smack.....as everyone else took it to be.
Having been involved with horses all of my life I find learn something new about them most days, perhaps I should bid for the day's help, then again, perhaps you may find you learn something from me too....
