I need to move my horse to Germany in mid January. I know a great transporter who does individual runs to/from Europe - so he only takes 1-2 horses at a time, and therefore, the horses get individual care, and arrive unstressed.
He was a major horse transporter at the Olympics this summer, and has an excellent reputation, and can travel anything from leisure horses /ponies up to top level international horses. He is in Wiltshire.
Problem is, if he only takes mine and comes back with an empty lorry, it will cost £1400 in total, which I cannot afford. He said if he could pick up a horse in Europe to bring to the UK for the return trip, it would halve the cost.
Alternatively, if someone needs to send a horse out to Europe in mid-January, they could share the lorry with my chap (gelding). I think the lorry will fit two horses. People based in the south / south-east / south-west would be best.
