I have justnfinished my level 1 Equine Touch course and I love it and I am considering doing a blog to reflect on my work and track my progress through the practitioner course.

How domyou go about starting one?

I've got one on Wordpress. There are plenty of free blog websites around and they usually have instructions on how to start up.

The Wordpress iPhone app gets rubbish reviews though. I thought that might be a good idea as I do everything on my iPhone or iPad.

Not sure now. I've downloaded the Tumblr app but I'd like it to be viewed on a web browser too at times.

Yes I have one and I'd highly recommend it, blog keeping is a great way to keep track of progress, learn from your past and get recognized for what you do.

There are many free sites but its always better to get one personally made for you however there are obvious costs involved in this.

Good luck :)

Great blog website strides. Really great. Ill be following your progress from now on!! I'm happy with how my blog looks at the moment on my phone and online and I will get on and do a write up on the course today.

Thank you atlantis :) Worked hard and taken a while to build it to where it is :)
Read your first post, very well written. :)

I've been blogging since 2007 and used blogspot but have recently set another blog on wordpress and I think it's more interactive than blogspot, much easier to keep track of comments (as you can an icon telling you that you received one :) ) and sharing options are better too.
Here's mine: http://aspireequestrian.wordpress.com/

I would also recommend you become a member (it's free) on http://hay-net.co.uk/ - it's a blogging platform with many added features - you can re-post links to your posts (like you would a status on Fb) or blog straight from there too. More interaction and discussion, more people reading about your experiences - that is if that's what you are after :)

Looking forward to reading about your experiences :)

Thanks! I really enjoy doing it and its a great way to track where we've come from :)

Good luck with yours :D

Lovely blog viola and the hay-net website looks great too. I like the way Wordpress looks - more professional but found it difficult to set up. However I like the way your blogs looks both on a web browser and on my phone. I'll have another look now as team reggie's blog also looked really really great too.

I think its worth getting it right now, one post in lol!!

Thank you very much! I should say that I also struggled with Wordpress at the beginning as menu management and other settings are so different to Blogspot but I am glad I stuck by it :)
It's definitely cleaner in designs and more writing friendly I find.

Good luck and do post a link if you switch to Wordpress :)

Much cleaner designs but I can't get it to work to set-up on my ipad. I think I'll wait until small person is in bed tonight and go on the desktop (which is in oh's office surrounded by crap and not toddler friendly really).

I also love your banner viola. Might toddle off to make my banner in the meantime.

Thank you :) It's a photo from one of my guest bloggers, love it too :)
I only use wordpress on PC and iPhone but don't use their app as also got discouraged by bad reviews.
Look forward to seeing yours when it's done :)

Hmmm. Calm down it won't be great. I love your little ex racer by the way ( is it yours?). I gave one I share, we're just starting out too.

;)
The little mare isn't mine, she belongs to "a breeder" and a young instructor who works with me has her and 10 others as project horses to bring on. She had a racing accident and although vet sees nothing wrong with her now she is not completely even in her movement. She only gets rehabilitative schooling in-hand and won't be ridden if she doesn't become fully comfortable.

I'm in fact just editing huge amount of video footage we took of her and other horses on Thu :)

I went to leave you a comment but it won't let me without leaving my email address. I'm not prepared to do that. A shame as I was looking forward to hearing of your adventures.
