Anyone put up stables that were supplied as a kit?

My last post got zero replies, probably because I put Scotland in the title!
Thinking about putting up a new stable block - 3 stables in a line. Interested in reviews of manufacturers. I'd like cost effective and functional rather than posh. Usually the horses are only in to be fed or groomed/tacked up. I already have a block that could be used for box rest if that was ever an issue so the new ones can be very basic - even just a glorified field shelter with partitioning.
I'd be happy to hear about companies who supply and build but I suspect there aren't many willing to come this far north, or situated nearby!

Where about are you? Is it Aberdeenshire? I have seen a few mentions of Fallen Oak Timber Buildings making flat packed shelters for self assembly. Their shelters look quite nice quality and fairly straightforward to put together. I have seen their names being mentioned in local FB horsey groups and have a decent reputation. They do come up to Scotland to build their shelters if required.

Thanks, I've had a look at their website but it all seems to be oak built and I can't see anything about field shelters?

We had Fallen Oak put up a field shelter several years ago. By the time they’d driven all the way up to deliver, made total sense to include putting it up - in no time at all, far quicker than we’d have got around to.
On metal skids, rear guttering / drainpipe, they use 4x2 frame which is a bit sturdier than many, and this shelter has taken some weather. No problems whatsoever - if that helps?
PS, annual exterior creosote, since.

If you’re likely to fasten them in much, use them as stables / holding pens - sensible to buy the thicker spec kickboard lining - which applies to any make, I should think. Good luck.

If you dont need fancy I'd suggest just splitting the covered space with gates covered by suitable anti kick material.
